    Production

Planning of materials and production technology

Most of our production is made by our sister companies within SP group. Our vacuum-formed plastics are produced out of GIBO, which is one of the leading vacuum-forming plastic producers with production sites in Denmark, Sweden, and Poland. Injection molded products are produced out of SP Moulding A/S with production sites in Denmark, Poland, and China. Molded Poly urethane solutions are produced in production sites in Denmark, Poland, Latvia, and China.

When we design a packaging solution, we always choose the material that best suits the needs that the customer and usage requires. In most cases, we replace or compliment traditional wood-based materials such as cardboard, plywood and wood planks where we can benefit from the plastics formability and low weight in combination with its resistance to moisture and chemicals.

    Vacuumformed plastics

We use Polycarbonate (PC), ABS, Polystyrene (PS), PET and other materials in vacuum-forming for different types of interlayer sheets, pallet lids, edge protection, fixtures, etc. The low forming tool cost makes this production technique suitable for productions with low quantity, as well as large products.

The blister technique is used to create formed plastic packaging with higher quantities. Nycopac uses the method partly to create cost-effective plastic lids for crates and pallet frames for single- and multiple-time use, and partly to create cheap single-use interlayers where re-use is not suitable.

    Injection molding

Injection molding is used to produce plastic products in large quantities. We produce packaging products for the automotive and medical industry, as well as for our own standard packaging systems.

    Bubble Guard

Bubble Guard is a material made of PP using three layers, where a layer of air-filled plastic bubbles are sandwiched in between solid layers of plastic, which creates rigidity in all directions. The material can also be in-line laminated in various ways, see below.

    Ondubol

Ondubol is a material made of PP with a ondulated middle layer where the channels, unlike corrugated plastic runs perpendicular to the other layers, which makes it especially suitable for certain applications.
This method is available with either 2 or 3 layers depending on the application. Lamination with Bubble Guard and Ondubol is applied directly in the production process, in order to obtain specific properties of the material. We also apply TNT (non-woven fabric) for extra protection on delicate areas, Agugliato (felt coating) for vehicle interior, rubber coating for extra impact protection, as well as anti-scratch coating to prevent scratching.
